Tisas 1911 Crusader Full Size 45 ACP 7rd Pistol

The Crusader is a full size 1911 in 45 ACP with a 7 round magazine. The frame is carbon steel with a beavertail grip safety, and the slide is steel with serrations cut where the hand grabs it. Steel construction keeps the weight up, which is a large part of why the 45 ACP 1911 has stayed in production for more than a century, and the beavertail keeps the web of the hand clear at the back of the frame.

The finish is what most people will notice first. Tisas puts a distressed graphite Cerakote on the frame and a multi color Cerakote on the grip, so the pistol reads as a worked over gun rather than a plain black one, and the two treatments do not match on purpose. The full size frame gives larger hands somewhere to go, and a 7 round magazine in 45 ACP is the traditional count for a gun built on this pattern. Cerakote is a durable coating, which matters on a steel pistol that will get carried, holstered and handled.
