Tisas 1911 Carry 9 DS Comp 9mm 4.25" 17rd Pistol

Tisas took the double stack 1911 pattern, chambered it in 9mm and machined a compensator into the barrel. The Carry 9 DS Comp is the 4.25 inch version. Seventeen rounds in a 1911 grip is a different animal than the single stack most people picture, and the integrated comp on top of a bull barrel keeps the muzzle from climbing between shots. Two 17 round magazines come in the box.

The frame is steel with an accessory rail up front and a beavertail at the back, so weight sits low and recoil comes straight back rather than in a flip. The slide is cut for an optic, which is where most people put a red dot on a gun like this. A QPQ finish covers the steel and the firing pin is titanium. The trigger is the usual single action 1911 arrangement: short travel, a clean break and a fast reset, which is why shooters keep coming back to the platform. At 4.25 inches the barrel is short enough to carry on a belt with a decent holster and long enough to run a match stage without giving up much speed.
