Tikka T3x Lite Roughtech 6mm CM 3rd Tan Rifle

The T3x Lite is already one of the lighter production hunting rifles, and the Roughtech version adds a textured stock surface that grips back when hands are cold, wet, or gloved. The shell keeps the slim Lite profile, but the rough surface wraps the forend and the grip so the rifle does not squirm under a bag or against a pack strap. Fluting on the bolt body and on the barrel trims weight off the places that carry it worst, and the tan stock breaks up the outline better than a plain black shell in open country.

Chambered in 6mm Creedmoor, this one splits the difference between a varmint rifle and a deer rifle. Recoil is mild enough to spot your own impacts through the scope, and the cartridge shoots flat enough to keep holdovers simple at distance. The detachable magazine holds 3 rounds, the barrel is fluted and threaded at the muzzle, and a muzzle brake is included. Tikka actions have a reputation for a smooth bolt and a crisp adjustable trigger, and the Roughtech stock is the only real departure from a standard T3x Lite. The receiver is steel and drilled and tapped, so a set of Tikka rings or a rail goes on without any fitting work.
