Tikka T3x CTR 6mm CM 24" 10rd Rifle

The T3x CTR, short for Compact Tactical Rifle, is Tikka's answer for shooters who want precision without hauling a 15 pound chassis rifle to the line. This one is chambered in 6mm Creedmoor with a 24" semi heavy barrel, cold hammer forged and threaded at the muzzle. A 10 round detachable magazine feeds it, so a range session involves far less reloading than a rifle with a hinged floorplate, and the magazine release lever sits where a shooter can reach it without breaking position behind the gun.

The synthetic stock has an adjustable cheekpiece, which matters more than people expect once a large scope sits in tall rings. A Picatinny rail comes fitted to the receiver, the trigger guard is aluminum, and the bolt has an oversized knob and a Teflon coating that keeps the stroke slick. The ejection port is widened and angled so brass leaves cleanly. Tikka barrels have a reputation for shooting well straight out of the box, and 6mm Creedmoor is a mild recoiling cartridge that lets a shooter spot their own impacts through the scope. The heavy barrel is free floated the whole length of the forend.
