Auto-Ordnance Thompson M1 Lightweight 45 ACP 16.5" 30rd Rifle

The Auto-Ordnance Thompson M1 Lightweight is a semi auto take on the Tommy Gun that American troops carried through World War II. It is chambered in 45 ACP with a 16.5" smooth barrel, and the look follows the M1 military pattern right down to the bolt handle on the side of the receiver. What sets the Lightweight apart is the frame and receiver: they are aluminum with a black hard coat anodized finish instead of solid steel, which brings the carbine down to about 8 lbs.

The stock, pistol grip and foregrip are genuine American walnut. Sights are a blade front with a fixed battle rear, the same simple setup the originals used. A manual thumb safety handles the controls, and the overall length is 38". It comes with one 30 round stick magazine. Note that this Lightweight model does not accept drum magazines, so it runs on sticks only. The weight of the gun keeps 45 ACP recoil mild at the range.
