Auto-Ordnance Thompson M1 Army 250th 45 ACP 16.5" 20/30rd Rifle

Auto-Ordnance teamed with the artisans at Altered Arsenal on this commemorative Thompson M1, part of the "A Salute To Service" series honoring the 250th anniversary of the founding of the U.S. Army on June 14, 1775. It is a 45 ACP semi auto carbine with a 16.5" barrel and a steel receiver. The barrel and upper receiver wear OD Green Cerakote, the lower frame is Coyote Tan Cerakote, and the controls are black oxide for contrast.

The engraving is the reason to own it. The American walnut stock is custom engraved with a visual history of the Army soldier, from the Revolutionary War through World War I, World War II and Vietnam into modern times, with a 250th Anniversary banner on both sides. The horizontal foregrip carries "U.S." surrounded by stars on both sides. On the metal, "ARMY" is CNC engraved on the left side of the upper and lower, a 250th Anniversary banner in FX Gold Cerakote sits on the right side of the receiver, and the top of the receiver shows the layout of the Army dress uniform with gold buttons. Sights are a blade front and fixed battle rear. It comes with two stick magazines, one 20 round and one 30 round, and it will not accept drums. At 11.5 lbs it is a display piece first, but it shoots like any M1.
