Taurus 850 .38 Special 2" 5 Shot Matte Finish Small Frame Revolver

The Taurus 2-850121 850 .38 Special brings modern reliability to the classic snub-nosed revolver role, and if you're looking for a compact, dependable self-defense option the 5-shot, 2" matte black alloy steel barrel, cylinder and frame make it an understated workhorse for concealed carry and duty backup use. The 850 series uses a double-action-only trigger and a fully shrouded, concealed hammer to reduce snagging while maintaining a consistent, deliberate trigger pull, and the transfer bar safety adds an extra layer of drop-safe security for everyday carry. At 24 ounces and a 7.66" overall length with a small-frame profile and black rubber grips, it balances controllability with pocketability and delivers manageable recoil on .38 Special loads. Sights are a removable serrated blade with a fixed rear for quick target acquisition at typical self-defense ranges, and the compact size makes it an excellent choice for off-duty carry, home defense backup, or as a reliable trail gun. This model requires an FFL transfer and is a true handgun-class revolver from Taurus, giving users a straightforward, rugged option in the snub-nosed revolver market.
