About the Sylvan Short K 5.56mm
The Short K is a titanium bodied 223/5.56 can that threads straight onto a 1/2-28 muzzle, so there is no dedicated muzzle device to buy, install, or index. It is listed at 6.2 inches and 12.8 oz without a muzzle device, with a titanium tube wearing a matte black Cerakote and a stainless blast chamber, blast baffle, and baffle stack behind it.
This is a direct thread only design and it is not HUB compatible, so it will not swap onto a universal rear mount. It is not rated for long action or magnum cartridges. The published minimum barrel length is 10.5 inches for 223/5.56 and 4.5 inches for 5.7x28. Keep it on the intended hosts and it does what a short rifle can is supposed to do, which is knock the muzzle blast off a carbine without turning it into a pike.
