Springfield Armory XD Mod.4 OSP 9mm 4" 16rd Gear Up Pistol

The XD Mod.4 is Springfield's updated service pistol, and the OSP designation means the slide comes cut for a micro red dot with the plate system to mount one. The 4" barrel puts it squarely in service size territory: long enough to shoot well at distance, short enough to carry under a jacket. Springfield kept the features that defined the XD line, including the grip safety at the back of the frame and the loaded chamber indicator, then reshaped the grip on the Mod.4.

Striker fired with a polymer frame and a steel slide, it feeds from a 16rd magazine. The slide wears front and rear serrations and the frame carries an accessory rail for a light or laser. This one is sold as the Gear Up package configuration. For a shooter setting up a first duty pattern 9mm, or adding a range gun to the safe, the Mod.4 covers the fundamentals: a service size grip that still fits a normal hand, a 4" barrel that shoots flat enough at distance, and a slide already milled to take a red dot without a gunsmith.
