Springfield Armory 2020 Redline 6.5 CM 16" 3rd ODG Rifle

This Model 2020 Redline pairs 6.5 Creedmoor with a short 16" carbon fiber wrapped barrel for a compact hunting bolt gun. Weight is right around 6 lbs, so it carries easily through timber or in a pack scabbard. The barrel is threaded 5/8-24 under a removable SA Radial brake, and the short barrel keeps the rifle handy once a suppressor goes on.

The action is the Model 2020 stainless receiver in Mil-Spec Green Cerakote with a fluted, nitrided bolt, and it takes Remington 700 short action pattern Picatinny bases on 6-48 screws. A Grayboe Trekker synthetic stock in olive with black webbing keeps the weight down. It feeds from one included 3 round AICS short action pattern magazine, and the TriggerTech trigger adjusts from 2.5 to 5 lbs. The two position safety sits where a bolt gun shooter expects it. There are no iron sights, so plan on a scope. For a hunter who wants a light, short, suppressor friendly 6.5 Creedmoor, this is a strong pick.
