Springfield Armory 1911 DS Prodigy Comp 9mm 5" 10rd RFX11 Pistol

The 1911 DS Prodigy Comp takes the 1911 and rebuilds it around a double stack 9mm magazine, with a polymer grip module mounted to a forged steel frame. This version runs a 5" forged stainless match grade bull barrel and an AOS optics ready slide with an integral compensator, which vents gas up to keep the muzzle flat between shots. It is the 10 round configuration, so every included magazine holds 10. A Picatinny rail on the dust cover takes a light.

The Gear Pac bundle is what sets this SKU apart. It comes with a Viridian RFX11 green dot already mounted, four 10 round magazines and a nylon pistol bag, so it is ready for the range out of the box. The slide and frame are forged carbon steel in black Cerakote, and the grip is polymer for a fuller, more modern feel than a single stack 1911. Controls include a thumb safety and a beavertail grip safety, and a two piece full length guide rod handles recoil. Single action trigger, 1911 manual of arms, modern capacity and a dot on top make this a natural fit for competition or a nightstand gun.
