The P226 X-Series Pro is the full size 226 with its slide cut under the SIG-LOC system, so a red dot mounts to the slide itself rather than to an adapter plate stacked on top of it. The magazine holds 18 rounds and the finish is black.

The trigger is the traditional Sig arrangement, double action on the first shot and single action on every one after it, which is a large part of why 226s spent decades on duty belts around the world. That long first pull is a safety feature carried with the gun rather than a lever anyone has to remember under stress, and the pull shortens considerably once the hammer is back. The X-Series treatment exists to make that single action pull as good as Sig can make it. The full size 226 has always been a heavy pistol by modern standards, and that weight is exactly what makes 9mm feel like almost nothing coming out of it: the muzzle barely moves and the sights come back to where they started without being wrestled there. Eighteen rounds and a factory optic cut make this a serious range gun that will hold down a nightstand just as well.
