Shark Coast Tactical Maxim 5.56 NATO 10.5" 30rd Pistol

Maxim is a 5.56 NATO AR pistol built around a 10.5" barrel, and the custom Cerakote work is what separates it from the rack of black rifles it sits beside. Shark Coast Tactical does the finish in house, so the pattern and the colors are theirs rather than a catalog option.

The mechanical side is conventional AR-15 and that is a good thing. The upper and lower are aluminum, the receiver top is a Picatinny rail for optics, and the handguard uses M-LOK slots for lights and sling hardware. The barrel carries a nitride finish for corrosion resistance and is threaded at the muzzle. An SB Tactical SBA3 brace attaches at the rear and adjusts through several positions, so the gun can be set short for storage or extended for shooting. Feeding comes from a 30rd magazine, and any standard AR-15 magazine will run in it. A 10.5" 5.56 is a practical size for a truck gun or a home defense setup: it clears doorways and corners far better than a 16" carbine, and 5.56 is the most common centerfire rifle round in the country, so feeding it is never a problem.
