Savage Mark II F 17 Hornady Mach 2 21" 10rd Rifle

The Savage Mark II F is a bolt action rimfire rifle, and this one is chambered in 17 HM2, a small, fast rimfire that shoots flat out to typical squirrel and plinking distances. It has a 21" button rifled carbon steel barrel with a blued finish and a target crown, set in a black synthetic stock with cut checkering and swivel studs.

Savage's AccuTrigger is standard, giving you a user adjustable trigger pull and a crisp, clean break without a trip to the gunsmith. The rifle feeds from a 10 round detachable box magazine, and the carbon steel receiver is drilled and tapped, so mounting a rimfire scope is simple. At about 5.5 lbs it is easy for younger shooters to handle and light enough to carry through the squirrel woods all morning. The thumb safety sits where right hand shooters expect it. For plinking, small game and varmints at modest range, the Mark II F is a simple, accurate rimfire that is easy to shoot well and a lot of fun at the range.
