Savage Arms Axis 2 XP 308 Win 20" 4rd OD Green 3-9x40 Scope Rifle

308 Win in a 20" barrel is about as practical as a hunting rifle gets, and that is what this Axis 2 XP is. The barrel is matte black carbon steel, threaded at the muzzle, and sits under a 3-9x40 scope that Savage mounts and bore sights at the factory. The scope glass is fully coated and the windage and elevation turrets adjust without tools.

Underneath the package rifle branding is a real trigger. The AccuTrigger is user adjustable, so the pull weight can be set by the owner rather than lived with. Rounds feed from a 4rd detachable box magazine, and the receiver is drilled and tapped if a different optic goes on later. The OD Green synthetic stock has been reshaped over the first generation Axis, with a contoured pistol grip, ambidextrous palm swells and texturing at the contact points, and length of pull adjusts to fit the shooter.
