Short barreled 308s make sense once you have put a suppressor on one, and this build is set up for that from the start: 20" of straight fluted carbon steel in a heavy sporter contour, threaded at the muzzle, with a one piece 0 MOA rail already on the receiver. Take the can off and it is still a handy woods rifle that will not snag on a treestand ladder.

Savage's fit hardware is what separates the Core Hunter from a plain 110. AccuFit V2 changes length of pull and comb height without tools, grip modules swap to change the angle and circumference of the hold, and M-LOK panels molded into the flat dark gray stock take a bipod or a sling stud. The AccuTrigger is adjustable by the shooter, so the break can be set light for a bench and heavier for gloved hands. The barreled action wears Black Ink Cerakote against weather, the bolt body is jeweled and its handle is threaded for a replacement knob, and a detachable box magazine holds four rounds of 308 Winchester.
