Savage 110 Trailblazer 7mm Rem Mag 22" 3rd Gray Rifle

7mm Rem Mag has been the do everything western cartridge since the 1960s, flat enough for open country and heavy enough for elk. The Trailblazer gives it a 22 inch straight fluted barrel with a threaded muzzle, which is a sensible length for a magnum: enough to burn the powder, short enough to carry uphill without cursing it by mile three.

The 110 action is the familiar one, with a jeweled bolt body and Savage's user adjustable AccuTrigger. The Trophy stock is Flat Dark Gray with spacers to set length of pull, and the LimbSaver pad matters here more than on the smaller calibers in this line. A detachable box magazine holds 3 rounds. Black Ink Cerakote on the barreled action holds off rust through a week long hunt in wet weather, and the one piece rail is already mounted so you only need rings. Add a brake or a suppressor to the threaded muzzle and a 7mm magnum turns into a rifle you can practice with instead of one you flinch behind, and that is the difference between a rifle you own and a rifle you shoot well.
