Howa M1500 Fence Line 7mm Rem Mag 24" Gray Light Camo Rifle

7mm Rem Mag has been the western hunter's default magnum since 1962. It throws heavy for caliber bullets flat enough to make a long shot a reasonable proposition, and it does that with less muzzle blast and less recoil than the 300 magnums it competes with. Elk, mule deer, sheep, moose, caribou. The cartridge has taken all of it, and ammunition for it sits on the shelf anywhere that sells centerfire rifle rounds, which is worth more on a hunt than any ballistic advantage a newer cartridge claims on paper.

Howa builds this Fence Line on the M1500 bolt action with a 24" barrel, which is what a belted magnum wants if you would rather not hand back performance to a short tube. The stock is finished in Gray Light Camo, a pale broken pattern for open country where earth tones read as a solid shape at distance. Gray works in sage, on rock, above the treeline and in snow, and it is a better match for the kind of hunting a 7mm Rem Mag gets used for than a timber pattern would be. A big cartridge, a long barrel and a stock that disappears where the shots are long.
