Savage 110 Trailblazer 22 ARC 20" 4rd Gray Rifle

22 ARC is Hornady's answer to the question of what a modern 22 centerfire should be, and a 20 inch bolt gun is where it makes the most sense. The Trailblazer wraps that barrel in Savage's 110 action with a jeweled bolt body and the user adjustable AccuTrigger, then drops it into a Flat Dark Gray Trophy stock with length of pull spacers so the rifle can be sized to the shooter instead of the other way around.

The barrel is a heavy sporter contour with straight flutes, which keeps stiffness while cutting weight, and the muzzle is threaded for a brake or a suppressor. A one piece rail is already mounted, so rings are the only mounting hardware left to buy. Black Ink Cerakote on the barreled action fights corrosion through a long wet season, and a LimbSaver recoil pad softens what little push a 22 caliber cartridge produces. Feeding is from a detachable box magazine holding 4 rounds. For coyotes, prairie dogs and steel at distance, a fast light bullet out of a stiff fluted barrel is a hard combination to argue with, and the adjustable stock means the same rifle fits a teenager and an adult without buying parts.
