Howa M1500 Fence Line Mini 22 ARC 20" 5rd Prairie Reaper Rifle

The Fence Line series is built on the Howa 1500 barreled action, which has been the quiet value in bolt guns since 1979. This one uses the Mini Action, a receiver sized to cartridges the length of the 223 family rather than a short action cut down, so the rifle carries less steel and the bolt throw is shorter than a standard gun chambered for the same round. In 22 ARC that pairing makes sense: a small case pushing a long 22 caliber bullet, in a rifle that weighs what a walking gun should weigh.

The barrel runs 20" in a heavy contour with a radial brake on the threaded muzzle, which keeps the rifle pointed where it was pointed when the shot broke. The stock is finished in Prairie Reaper camo. Howa guarantees sub MOA accuracy with premium factory ammunition, one inch or better at 100 yards, which is not a promise most rifle makers are willing to put in writing. The action has a two stage match trigger, a three position safety that allows unloading on safe, a forged bolt with two locking lugs and an M16 style extractor, and a firing pin that comes out without tools.
