About this product
The MSR 15 Recon 2.0 is Savage's take on a ready to run AR-15, built with the upgrades most owners end up buying anyway. It is chambered in 5.56 NATO and runs a 16.13" carbon steel barrel with 5R rifling and a 1:8 twist. An A2 flash hider sits on the muzzle. The lower receiver is custom forged aluminum, and the upper carries a free float M-LOK handguard topped with a full length Picatinny rail for optics, lights and lasers.
The fire control group uses a nickel boron coated trigger for a smooth pull and corrosion resistance. A Magpul 6 position adjustable stock and Magpul pistol grip fit shooters of different sizes and body armor, and the rifle comes without sights so you can set it up with the optic you want. One 30 round magazine is included. At 7.3 lbs and 33.5" to 36.75" overall, it balances well for home defense, competition or hunting coyotes and hogs.
