About this product
The SR1911 Phoenix is a TALO exclusive run of Ruger's 45 ACP 1911, built on the 5" full size pattern with an engraved stainless slide and red pearl grip panels. Ruger machines the SR1911 with CNC controlled processes that tighten the slide to frame fit and keep slide travel smooth, and the barrel locks up positively for accuracy straight out of the box. It is a classic layout held to modern tolerances.
The trigger is a skeletonized aluminum unit with an adjustable over travel stop, paired with a skeletonized hammer and a titanium firing pin. The pull is crisp and light with a short positive reset. Two magazines come with the pistol, one 7 round and one 8 round, so there is a flush option and a higher capacity option in the same box. The engraving and the red pearl grips are what mark this as a TALO run rather than a standard catalog SR1911, and they are the reason it gets picked up off a rack ahead of a plain stainless gun.
