Ruger Redhawk 44 Mag 5.5" 6rd Stainless Revolver

The Ruger Redhawk is the heavy frame double action revolver Ruger built to take a steady diet of magnum loads. This model is chambered in 44 Remington Magnum, dual chambered so 44 Special loads also work, with a 5.5" cold hammer forged sleeve and shroud barrel and a 6 round cylinder. The whole gun is satin stainless steel with no side plates, and it wears hardwood grips.

Extra metal in the top strap, sidewalls and barrel mounting areas is what lets the Redhawk handle heavy hunting loads, and the triple locking cylinder locks into the frame at the front, rear and bottom for solid alignment shot after shot. A single spring mechanism gives a smooth, light trigger pull, and the transfer bar mechanism guards against accidental discharge. The front blade takes a readily replaceable insert and the adjustable rear has a white outline, so you can zero for your load. At 49 oz and 11" long, the 5.5" barrel is a good middle ground: enough sight radius and velocity for deer and hogs, still short enough to carry in a field holster.
