The Ruger MAX-9 in 9mm is a micro-compact carry pistol with a 3.2" barrel and a factory-mounted Ruger ReadyDot micro reflex sight co-witnessed with the irons. The 15 MOA red dot is large enough to pick up fast under stress, and the fiber optic auto-adjusts to ambient light so there are no buttons, no batteries, and nothing to forget before leaving the house. Ships with one flush 10-round magazine and one extended 12-round magazine for either slim profile or extra capacity.
A manual thumb safety is on board for customers who prefer that layer, and the trigger has a flat face with a short reset. The slide has front and rear cocking serrations and a flat top matte finish. Weight comes in at around 18 ounces unloaded, which keeps the gun manageable in an IWB rig through a full day of carry. Suppressor-height sights are not included — the ReadyDot uses standard suppressor-capable iron co-witness geometry. 9mm Luger keeps recoil low and practice cheap, and the double stack grip accepts Ruger's 10 and 12 round mags.
