Ruger AR-15 Stripped Lower Receiver

This is a stripped AR-15 lower receiver from Ruger, machined from forged aluminum to mil spec tolerances. Stripped means the receiver and nothing else: no trigger, no grip, no buffer parts. The builder supplies the rest and ends up with a rifle assembled to their own spec instead of someone else's parts list.

The magwell is broached and the fire control pocket is a full cut inlet, so standard parts go where they belong without hand fitting or a file. Ruger also puts an adjustable tension screw at the rear of the receiver, which takes the play out of the upper to lower fit. That wobble does not hurt accuracy much, but it is the first thing a shooter notices when handling a finished build, and being able to dial it out is a real feature rather than a marketing line. The finish is black. As a foundation for a first build or a parts bin project, it is about as plain and as solid as they come.
