Ruger SFAR 308 Win 20" 20rd Rifle

The Ruger SFAR (Small Frame Autoloading Rifle) puts 308 Win, also chambered for 7.62 NATO, into a rifle nearly the size of a standard 5.56 AR. This model 5611 has a 20 inch cold hammer forged chrome moly barrel with a 1:10 twist, threaded 5/8-24 and fitted with a muzzle brake. It comes with one 20 round Magpul PMAG and takes SR25 and AR-10 pattern 308 magazines. Furniture is a Magpul MOE SL collapsible stock and MOE grip, with a two stage trigger.

The bolt and barrel extension are CNC machined from a high strength alloy that is stronger than a standard C158 bolt, and tapered lug geometry beefs up the breech for short action cartridges. The bolt carrier is chrome lined with a nitride processed gas key staked in place, the firing pin is titanium, and the bolt runs dual ejectors with an optimized extractor. The aluminum upper carries a Picatinny top rail for optics, and the 15 inch free float handguard has M-LOK slots. Weight is 7.3 lbs and overall length runs 38 to 41.25 inches. A light 308 for hunting, ranch use and range work.
