DPMS DR-10 308 Win 16" 20rd Rifle

DPMS has been building 308 AR rifles longer than most of the companies currently selling them, and the DR-10 is the current shape of that lineage. The 16" barrel and mid length gas system are the practical combination for this cartridge - short enough to carry through timber or work from a vehicle, long enough that the 308 still puts up honest velocity, and gassed in a way that softens the impulse instead of beating the carrier. Twenty rounds ride in the magazine, which is the standard capacity for the pattern.

The handguard is a 15" free float M-LOK rail, so the barrel is not touching anything that a sling or a bipod can push against, and there is room to mount accessories anywhere along its length without adapters. Receivers are forged and anodized aluminum, and the bolt carrier group is nitride treated for wear resistance and easier cleanup. A 6 position stock covers different shooters and different amounts of gear. For a hunter who wants an autoloader in a real deer and hog cartridge, or a shooter who wants 308 ballistics on an AR manual of arms, this is a straightforward way to get there.
