Ruger Hawkeye Compact 243 Win 16.5" 4rd Rifle

The Ruger Hawkeye Compact puts the M77 Hawkeye action in a short, handy package chambered in 243 Win. A 16.5 inch satin blued alloy steel barrel keeps the overall length at 35.5 inches and the weight around 6 lbs, so it carries easily in thick timber, from a treestand or on a long walk to a deer stand. The 243 is a proven deer and varmint cartridge with mild recoil, which suits a short rifle well. This configuration is a Sports South exclusive.

The receiver has integral scope mounts machined in, and scope rings are included, so there is no separate base to work loose. The LC6 trigger gives a clean, predictable break. A three position safety lets you work the bolt to unload with the safety on, and a positive floor plate latch keeps the internal 4 round magazine closed until you want it open. The American walnut stock has slim ergonomics, rounded contours and wrap around checkering on the grip and forend. Barrels are hammer forged. Set up for right hand shooters.
