Rock Island Armory TAC Ultra FS HC 9mm 5.05" 16rd Pistol

The TAC Ultra FS HC in 9mm is Rock Island Armory's full size double stack 1911 A2. The wide frame holds 16 rounds of 9mm, about twice what a single stack 1911 carries, and you still get the single action trigger, grip safety and thumb safety that make the 1911 easy to shoot well. The 5.05" barrel gives a long sight radius, and with 9mm in a steel gun of about 40 oz, recoil is mild enough for fast, flat strings.

Sights are a Novak front with an LPA adjustable rear, so you can set your zero and still have a clean, snag free profile. A Picatinny rail on the dust cover takes a weapon light, and aggressive slide serrations give a positive grip when racking. The frame and slide wear a black parkerized finish. This setup works for home defense, duty style use, or a 9mm competition gun where capacity and a light trigger both count. One magazine is included.
