Proof Research PXT .264 24" 1:7.5 Sendero Carbon Fiber Barrel Blank

This is an unchambered carbon fiber blank in a .264 bore, 24 inches long, cut on a Sendero contour. PXT stands for Proof Exponential Twist, the company's rework of conventional rifling geometry. Rather than holding one lead angle from throat to muzzle, the rifling progresses through the bore, which lowers the force needed to engrave a bullet and smooths the handoff as it takes the lands.

Proof Research reports 30 to 100 percent more barrel life out of the geometry in controlled testing, along with less throat erosion and less felt torque at the shot. The carbon fiber wrap keeps weight off the front of a rifle without giving up stiffness, which is the whole reason people buy these in the first place.
