Short barrels earn their keep on a mountain rifle, and this Elevation 2.0 runs a 16.5 inch tube in 7mm Backcountry. Less steel out front means less weight swinging on a sling and less to catch in timber. The barrel is a Sendero contour carbon fiber wrapped match grade unit with a threaded muzzle, so a brake or suppressor mounts directly. Underneath is a Zermatt Arms Origin action riding Hawkins Precision BDL bottom metal in the M5 inlet, with a TriggerTech trigger handling the break.
