About the Horizon Firearms Venatic 2023
The Horizon Firearms Venatic 2023 was put together for the lightweight hunter. This rifle is chambered in 7mm Backcountry and uses a 22" spiral fluted Benchmark stainless steel barrel, threaded and fitted with an Iota SIM muzzle brake. The action is a Stiller Wombat, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for scope bases.
At the center of the build is the Iota EKO X carbon fiber stock in a sporter style shape, with thumb detents, a long grip and a negative comb that keeps your face in line with the scope. A TriggerTech trigger rounds out the parts list. The finished rifle weighs about 6.8 lbs, which keeps it easy on the shoulder over a long day of glassing and climbing. Paired with the 7mm Backcountry cartridge, the Venatic is a light, compact package for deer, sheep and elk in steep country, and the muzzle brake keeps recoil manageable for quick follow up shots.
