About the Horizon Firearms Vandal Carbon
The Vandal Carbon II is the lightest branch of the Horizon Firearms Vandal family, and this one is chambered in 7mm Backcountry. The 22" barrel is a fluted carbon fiber barrel, and the muzzle wears an Iota SIM brake. A drilled and tapped receiver accepts scope bases, and a TriggerTech trigger handles the break.
The stock is an exposed carbon fiber Iota EKO X in a distinctive color combination, and the complete rifle weighs about 6.06 lbs. That low weight is the whole point: the Carbon II is aimed at backcountry hunts where every ounce in your pack counts. The 7mm Backcountry cartridge was developed with exactly this kind of short, light hunting rifle in mind, giving you serious reach without a long, heavy barrel. For mountain mule deer, sheep or elk, this is a rifle you can carry all day and still shoot with confidence when the moment comes. Mount a light scope and it is ready for the high country.
