About the Off Grid Suppressors Scorpius
The Scorpius is a full titanium rimfire can that weighs 1.95 ounces. That is the headline. Off Grid Suppressors builds it with additive manufacturing, which is how the patented internals get geometry that would be hard to machine conventionally, and the result is a can optimized for 22 LR and rated by Off Grid up to 5.7x28mm. Off Grid says it took first place at the Thunderbeast Silencer Summit.
The other thing that sets the design apart from most rimfire cans is that it does not come apart. Rimfire suppressors normally have to be disassembled and scrubbed because unjacketed lead and dirty powder pack the baffles solid. The Scorpius is non serviceable by design: you drop the whole can into an ultrasonic cleaner and that is the maintenance routine. It is finished in black Cerakote.
