ODIN Works Trail 22 Direct Thread Suppressor

ODIN Works kept the Trail 22 simple: aluminum body, matte black finish, 1/2-28 direct thread, 3.7 oz on the scale. It is a 22 LR can meant to live on a rimfire rifle or pistol and never be thought about again.

Aluminum is the right material for a rimfire host. There is no pressure or heat argument for steel behind a 22, and every ounce off the muzzle is an ounce the host does not have to carry, which matters on a thin rimfire barrel where a heavy can changes both the balance and the point of impact. Direct thread mounting keeps the whole assembly as short as it can be and removes the mount hardware that adds length up front and gives gas another place to leak. At 3.7 oz it is light enough that a 22 pistol still handles like a pistol.
