Sig Sauer MCX Spear LT 7.62x39mm 16" 28rd FDE Rifle

The MCX Spear LT is the lightened evolution of the MCX Virtus, and this one runs the 7.62x39mm cartridge from a 28 round magazine. It uses the MCX short stroke gas piston, so there is no buffer tube behind the receiver and the telescoping stock folds with a push button hinge. The 16" cold hammer forged barrel has a 1:9.5 twist and is threaded 5/8-24, capped with a Sig QD flash hider that is suppressor ready.

The handguard is lightened with M-LOK slots and screws for extra rigidity, and the controls are fully ambidextrous, including the bolt catch and release on the lower. The trigger is the Sig flat blade match unit, and the lower accepts AR-15 style triggers. The finish is Gen II NIR Flat Dark Earth Cerakote, which reduces the rifle's IR signature while standing up to wear and corrosion. At about 7.6 lbs with the magazine, it is a compact 7.62x39mm carbine that folds down to 26.25" for transport.
