Magnum Research Desert Eagle L5 44 Mag 5" 8rd Muzzle Brake Pistol

The Desert Eagle Mark XIX L5 is the lighter, shorter take on Magnum Research's gas operated magnum pistol. It uses a black hard coat anodized aluminum frame in place of steel, with a black carbon steel slide and barrel, which trims weight compared with the all steel guns. This one is chambered in 44 Magnum with a 5" barrel and an integral muzzle brake to tame recoil and muzzle rise. It holds 8 rounds, and one magazine is included.

Like every Desert Eagle, it runs on a gas operated rotating bolt, the system that lets it run full power magnum cartridges. The barrel has polygonal rifling and a full length accessory rail on top for an optic, from the chamber end to just behind the front sight. The single action trigger, combat style fixed sights, ambidextrous safety and Hogue finger groove rubber grips round it out. Overall length is 9.75". It works as a range showpiece and as a handgun hunting option.
