LaRue Tactical Siete 6.5 CM 23" Rifle

LaRue Tactical made its name on mounts and triggers, and the Siete is what happens when that shop builds a bolt gun. The receiver carries its Picatinny rail machined in rather than bolted on, which removes the most common source of zero trouble on a precision rifle: a base that shifts, or was never torqued evenly in the first place. This configuration is chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor with a 23 inch threaded barrel, so a brake or a suppressor goes on without a trip to a gunsmith.

The rifle sits in a LaRue KRG Bravo polymer chassis. The Bravo is a favorite among practical rifle shooters because it gives you a wide, flat forend to load a bipod against and enough grip and comb surface to build the same position twice in a row off a barricade or a pack. It is not a light rifle and it is not trying to be, since that mass is what keeps the reticle settled when the wind is doing math for you. 6.5 Creedmoor is the reason a lot of these guns get bought: long, high ballistic coefficient bullets at moderate velocity, mild recoil, and factory match ammunition on the shelf almost anywhere, which makes it far easier to shoot well at distance than the cartridges it replaced.
