Browning BAR MK4 Hunter 7mm Rem Mag 24" 3rd Rifle

The BAR traces back to John Browning's original autoloading rifle design, and the MK4 Hunter is the current hunting version of it. This one is chambered in 7mm Rem Mag with a 24" fluted barrel in a non reflective matte finish, an aluminum alloy receiver that is drilled and tapped for a mount, and a three round magazine. The composite stock carries overmolded gripping panels and a raised SoftFlex cheekpad, and it shims for cast on and off as well as drop at the comb, so the rifle can be fitted to the shooter instead of the other way around.

An autoloader in a 7mm magnum is a specific answer to a specific problem. The action bleeds off a meaningful share of the recoil that a bolt gun would put straight into a shoulder, and the Inflex recoil pad takes another share of it. What is left is a 7mm magnum that a hunter can actually practice with. Browning ties the action bar to the inertia block in a way that keeps barrel vibration down, which is the part of the design that makes an autoloader shoot like it means it.
