Hi-Point 995 Carbine 9mm 19" 10rd Rifle

The Hi-Point 995 is one of the best known 9mm carbines on the market, and this version stretches the barrel to 19". It feeds from a 10 round magazine and wears an all weather polymer skeletonized stock with an internal recoil buffer. Accessory rails on the receiver cover take an optic, a light or a laser, and the iron sights are a post front with a fully adjustable peep rear.

Hi-Point rates its carbines for +P ammunition. The longer barrel squeezes a bit more velocity out of 9mm and adds sight radius for steadier shooting with the irons. The thumb safety, grip mounted magazine release and last round lock open keep the controls simple. A 9mm carbine is about as gentle as a centerfire long gun gets, and the 995's weight makes recoil almost a non issue, so it suits new shooters, younger shooters with supervision, and anyone who wants cheap practice with the same ammunition their pistol uses. It also serves well as a basic home defense carbine. Note that the 995 magazine is its own pattern and does not swap with the C9 pistol.
