Heritage 92 357 Mag 16.5" 8rd Rifle

The Heritage 92 carbine takes the classic 1892 pattern and builds it in a size that handles fast. This one is chambered in 357 Magnum, so it also feeds 38 Special, and the 16.5" round barrel keeps the whole rifle at about 33 inches long. The tube magazine under the barrel holds 8 rounds. Receiver and barrel are alloy steel in a polished black finish, set off by a hardwood stock and forend.

Sights are the traditional pairing: a drift adjustable front blade and an adjustable buckhorn rear. A thumb safety sits on the receiver. At under 6 pounds it rides easily in a truck or saddle scabbard, and a pistol caliber lever gun is easy on the shoulder, which makes it a good choice for new shooters, cowboy action matches and close range deer or hog hunting. If you already carry a 357 revolver, one box of ammo covers both guns. The short barrel and light weight make this the handiest of the 357 Heritage 92 models for walking the fence line or keeping by the back door.
