Henry H10 Bear's Leg 45-70 13.8" 3rd Pistol

The Bear's Leg is Henry's lever action pistol, and it is exactly what it sounds like: a 45-70 Government lever gun cut down to a 13.8 inch barrel with a pistol grip stock and no shoulder stock. It holds three rounds in the tube. The barrel is round blued steel and threaded at the muzzle, and the receiver comes drilled and tapped for a scope mount if you want glass or a red dot on it.

Sights are a brass bead up front and a fully adjustable semi buckhorn rear with a diamond insert, which is the classic Henry arrangement and works fine at the ranges this gun is meant for. A transfer bar safety keeps it honest. At 6.59 pounds it is heavy for a handgun, and that mass is welcome, because 45-70 out of a short barrel is a serious event. Big fireball, big recoil, big hole.
