Henry Side Gate Steel 45-70 Govt 18.43" 4rd Rifle

Henry's steel Side Gate lever action in 45-70 Government gives you two ways to load. The side gate lets you top off the tubular magazine without taking the rifle out of action, and the removable inner tube is still there for safe, fast unloading at the end of the day. The magazine holds four rounds of 45-70, a cartridge that has been taking deer, elk, moose and bear since the 1870s and still hits as hard as anything you would want to carry in the woods.

The 18.43 inch round barrel and the receiver are both blued steel. Sights are a brass bead up front and a fully adjustable semi buckhorn rear with a diamond insert, and the receiver is drilled and tapped for a Weaver 63B base if you want glass on it. American walnut furniture, sling swivel studs and a black ventilated rubber recoil pad round it out, and the pad is welcome with heavy loads. A transfer bar safety sits in the hammer system. At just over 7 pounds and 37.5 inches long, it carries well through brush and timber and points fast for a big bore.
