Fusion Firearms Freedom 1911 A1 Government 9mm 5" 8rd Pistol

Fusion Firearms' Freedom Series Government is a 5" 1911 A1 in the plain GI configuration, chambered in 9mm. It follows the original Series 70 Colt design, uses no plastic parts, and has its frame, slide and barrel CNC machined from bar stock before a gunsmith hand fits them. The military style slide carries mil spec style 70 series sights, and the arched mainspring housing gives it the correct A1 feel in the hand.

The barrel has a black oxide finish and positive lockup for accuracy right out of the box. A tuned power style extractor handles the 9mm case, and the traditional 70 series internals accept standard Colt style replacement parts, so upgrades and repairs are simple. Red cocobolo grips dress it up a little without straying from the classic look. The pistol weighs 38.73 ounces without the magazine and comes with one 8rd magazine. It suits a shooter who wants a traditional GI 1911 without the recoil of 45 ACP, and it makes a solid first 1911 for a range bag or a collection.
