The Great Western II Gunfighter Competitor is a single action six shooter built for the SASS crowd. Alessandro Pietta developed it alongside championship cowboy action shooter Slick McClade, and the changes show up where a competitor notices them. The action comes tuned, the hammer sits low and wide so the thumb finds it without breaking grip, and a short stroke assembly shortens the arc between shots. A deeper hammer notch keeps engagement positive under speed. Chambered in 357 Mag with a 6rd cylinder, it also runs 38 Spl for lighter match loads.

The 4.75" octagonal barrel is blued and mates to a case hardened frame, the classic Old West color pairing that made these revolvers collectible in the first place. Sights are simple and fast: a brass front sight against a widened rear notch cut into the frame, which is far easier to pick up at speed than the hairline groove on a standard single action. Checkered gunfighter grips fill the hand and give the palm something to index against during a long stage. At 4.75", it clears leather quickly while keeping enough sight radius to shoot precisely at knockdown targets.
