Dickinson Adam 1911 Lead 45 ACP 5" 8rd Pistol

Dickinson's Adam is a full size 1911 built the way the pattern is supposed to be built: a forged steel frame, a forged steel barrel, and a slide machined on CNC equipment so the slide to frame fit comes out the same gun to gun. Forging matters on a 1911 because the frame rails and the locking lugs take the load every time the gun cycles, and a forged part handles that better over a long service life than a cast one does.

The barrel is stainless and runs the full 5", which is the length the 45 ACP cartridge was worked up around and part of why a government size 1911 shoots as softly as it does. The slide carries serrations for a positive grip when hands are wet or cold, and the frame has a beavertail grip safety that spreads recoil across the web of the hand and keeps the hammer off it. The trigger is single action only, so the manual of arms is the one 1911 shooters already know: hammer back, safety up, and a short straight press once the safety comes down. The magazine holds 8rd. For anyone stepping over from a polymer pistol, the weight is the whole point, and it shows up in how little the sights move between shots.
