The Adam 1911 Cigar is a full size 45 ACP in Dickinson's 1911 line. The slide is steel, machined on CNC equipment and cut with B pattern serrations. The frame is forged steel with a beavertail at the tang, and the magazine holds 8 rounds of 45 ACP.
The Adam line runs forged steel for both the frame and the barrel, with the slide machined to match, and the Cigar is that construction in a straightforward package. B pattern serrations are cut into the slide so the fingers have a square edge to work against when chambering a round or pulling the slide back to check it. The beavertail keeps the web of the shooting hand high on the frame. The single action trigger and the 8 round magazine are what the pattern has used since the beginning, and a steel 45 in this format carries its weight low and forward in the hand rather than in the grip.
