CZ P-09 9mm FDE Pistol

The P-09 is CZ's full size polymer frame duty pistol, and it holds more rounds than most handguns its size. It runs a hammer fired DA/SA action, meaning the first shot is a long double action pull and every shot after that is a short single action break. The rear control can be set up as a decocker or as a manual safety by swapping parts, which is genuinely useful rather than a spec sheet novelty: one gun works for a shooter who carries hammer down and for a shooter who carries cocked and locked.

CZ's Omega trigger system sits inside. It simplified the lockwork over the older CZ designs and made the pistol far easier to work on at the kitchen table. Interchangeable backstraps come with the gun so the grip can be sized to the hand, and the frame carries a rail up front for a light. This one wears an FDE polymer frame instead of the usual black. The P-09 built its reputation on the CZ grip shape, which sits low in the hand thanks to the slide riding inside the frame rails, and on a double action trigger that most competitors have not matched at any point in the last decade.
