Cimarron 1865 Spencer Carbine 45 Colt 20" 7rd Rifle

The Spencer repeater was one of the most widely used long guns of the Civil War, personally endorsed by President Lincoln, and after the war it went west as the primary U.S. Cavalry carbine of the Indian Wars. Cimarron's 1865 Spencer Carbine brings it back in 45 Colt, a cartridge that most cowboy action shooters already load for their revolvers.

The action works the way the original did: work the lever to feed a round from the tube magazine in the buttstock, then cock the hammer for each shot. The magazine holds 7 rounds. The 20 inch round barrel is blued with a 1:16 twist, and it sits against a color case hardened receiver and a straight grip walnut stock and forearm. A blade front sight and adjustable rear sight handle aiming, and swivel studs are in place for a sling. It is a faithful reproduction that you can actually shoot, whether at a match or just to feel what a cavalry trooper carried in 1865.
