Charter Arms Boomer 357 Mag 2" 5rd Stainless Revolver

The Boomer is Charter Arms' answer to the pocket 357: a five shot revolver with a 2" barrel, a concealed hammer, and stainless construction throughout. The barrel is tapered and double ported, venting gas upward at the muzzle to fight the climb a short barreled magnum generates. That porting is a large part of what makes the gun workable as a defensive revolver instead of just a loud one, because it puts the sights back on target faster than the same load would out of an unported tube.

The hammer is fully shrouded and the sights are trenched into the frame rather than standing proud of it, so nothing on the gun can catch on a pocket lining or a shirt on the way out. The trigger is double action only: one consistent pull, no hammer to cock, nothing to remember under pressure. A compact rubber grip soaks up what the porting does not. Weight is 24 ounces, which is heavy enough to keep 357 recoil inside reason and light enough to carry in a jacket pocket all day. Loaded with 38 Special it is easy to shoot; loaded with full house 357 it earns the name on the side. Charter Arms has been building carry revolvers on this pattern for decades and the Boomer is the loudest of them.
